Rear Tailgate Latch or Tailgate Hook for VW Multivan / Caravelle / Transporter / Caddy

A very very simple method to create ventilation from front to rear. The tailgate latch fits in the existing rear tailgate and extends the latching point. This then permits the tailgate to latch 'shut' and centrally lock, yet remaining ajar to allow air to circulate.

This small assistant allows fresh air to pass through the tailgate in your car and supplies fresh air while sleeping. When using the airlock, the boot lid is opened about 10 cm but still remains shut and protected from theft. You can also use the hook for ventilation while it is raining - no water enters over the boot lid.

Furthermore you can improve the air circulation in combination with a ventilation grill for your sliding windows or our VanEssa fly screens. You just put the hook in the lower closing bracket that it functions as an extension to the original lock.

How do I know which I need? 

Usually all T5 and T6 vans with Electric Sliding Doors have an electric assistance to close the rear tailgate that helps 'pull in' the tailgate as it is almost closed. This includes
